StimPlan 6.1

StimPlan 6.1 Released.

16th November 2011 - Houston, Texas, USA

NSI Technologies, LLC (NSI) is happy to announce that the latest version of it's hydraulic fracture design and analysis software, StimPlan 6.1, is now available to existing customers. StimPlan 6.1 and updated licenses will be sent out to existing customers over the next couple of weeks.

New features implemented in this release include:

Stress Sensitive Propped (and Unpropped) Fracture Conductivity – The Numerical Reservoir Model can now include the effects of drawdown on conductivity reduction in the fracture.

Water Fracs – The input of a stress sensitive “Unpropped kfw” is now possible, which can be transferred to several sophisticated reservoir models for post-frac simulations of water fracs.

New Log Calculations – Calculations included generating an effective porosity log from Neutron/ Density logs, and for generating both empirical and theoretical permeability logs using correlations.

Numerical Production Model – Improvements for multi-fractured, horizontal wells.

Slant Hole Production Simulation – Ability to simulate production from an unstimulated, deviated well drilled through multiple formations.

Database Files – Greatly expanded fluid and proppant database files.

User Help - The user help is also being updated, including the addition of 'pop-up' help screens for StimPlan data input fields.

StimPlan is NSI’s a complete software solution for the design, analysis and optimization of hydraulic fracturing, drill cuttings injection, and frac pack programs. With a comprehensive integrated toolkit and the industry’s most rigorous geometry models, StimPlan helps operators worldwide maximize their well performance while lowering expenditure and reducing their environmental footprint, however complex their reservoir or fracture treatment design.

NSI Technologies, LLC is a global technology company providing software, training and engineering solutions for the design and analysis of well stimulation programs. Founded in 1984, NSI has played a leading role in the development of modern hydraulic fracturing design technology. Through the application of its innovative solutions, NSI helps operators worldwide maximize their well performance while lowering expenditure and reducing their environmental footprint.
