Founded in 1984, NSI Technologies has almost 30 years of experience in advanced fracturing pressure analysis. By integrating that data with more conventional engineering functions such as well test analysis, reservoir engineering, and production modeling, we strive to provide the industry’s most accurate, easy to use well stimulation engineering software and related services.
![]() NSI has experience worldwide in all basin and reservoir types including recent engineering projects in major shale plays such as the Haynesville, Marcellus, and Eagle Ford.
![]() Unrivaled accuracy in your most challenging geologic environments. The StimPlan generated fracture models are well calibrated with pressure, production and microseismic data.
![]() Independent and neutral design recommendations. NSI is the only independent fracture simulation software company in the industry. Because we do not sell equipment and pressure pumping services, we can provide the most thorough, independent analysis of your stimulation design program.
THOUGHT LEADERSHIP MICHAEL B. SMITH Dr. Smith, with a Ph.D. in Rock Mechanics from Rice University, has over 30 years experience in rock mechanics, well completions, and hydraulic fracturing. While with Amoco Production Company, Mike co-developed the framework for fracturing pressure analysis which revolutionized fracturing technology. Along with worldwide consulting, Mike has served multiple times as a SPE Distinguished Lecturer, authored multiple chapters in the recent fracturing SPE Monograph, and developed and presented SPE short courses on Fracturing Pressure Analysis. Most recently, Mike was presented the SPE Lester C. Uren Award for his contributions to hydraulic fracturing technology.
CARL MONTGOMERY Mr. Montgomery is recognized within the industry as one of the leaders in all areas of stimulation, including hydraulic fracturing, acid fracturing, matrix stimulation, cavity completions, waste/cuttings injection, rock mechanics, and scale prevention/removal. Mr. Montgomery also has considerable experience in cementing, sand management, conformance control, perforating strategy, and formation damage. Formerly, Mr. Montgomery was with ConocoPhillips, Arco, and Dowell Schlumberger. Mr. Montgomery also served as Special Member of the petroleum engineering graduate faculty at the U. of Oklahoma.
JEAN-CLAUDE ROEGIERS Dr. Roegiers recently held the McCasland Chair in the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering, The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Roegiers was formerly with Dowell Schlumberger, the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, and the University of Toronto. Dr.Roegiers founded the Rock Mechanics Institute (RMI) and the Fracturing Fluid Characterization Facility (FFCF) both located at The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Roegiers also was one of the founders of the American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA). Dr. Roegiers has published more than 250 technical papers.
